It's been a very exciting week back in the art room. Kindergarteners are learning the ropes, while the primary grades and intermediate grades dive into special projects.
The primary grades listened to Ms. K read the story "Schools First Day of School," by Adam Rex. We then talked about how in the story some students made choices that affected the school in a negative way. We want to make sure nothing like that happens to Windsor this year, so we drew pictures of Windsor and wrote letters to Windsor saying what we will do to take care of Windsor this year.

While the primary grades work on their Windsor pictures, the intermediate grades are getting started on a game. Based off Pokemon Go, we will be having a Wildcat Go. The older students are working in teams to create unique Pokemon that will have to be hunted and caught throughout Windsor during our fall Wildcat Way Walkabout. The Pokemon will be located in areas specific to the Wildcat Way and will help remind the students of the expectations in those areas. It should be a lot of fun!
