Kindergarteners are very close to being done with adding the primary and secondary colored squares to their quilts. I thought it might be nice to take a break and add some shapes to our quilts. The kindergarteners noticed how quilts typically have patterned fabric on them, so we used patterned paper to draw and cut out shapes. We then added this "beautiful" paper to our quilts to make them more interesting!
If you see any kindergarteners with their heads down, don't worry, we aren't napping in art! Sometimes transitions are hard, so putting our heads down when we're done with a step helps let Ms. K know who is still working and who is done, along with keeping us on task.
