Artists get inspiration from experiences they have every day. Kandinsky was an abstract artist who used the sounds he heard to guide his art decisions. Like Kandinsky, the 4th graders have been painting along to music in art, choosing colors they feel best represent the sounds they're hearing at that moment. Once they finish the painting, adding abstract shapes will help create a visually interesting work of art.
