Mrs. Wilson's class is taking a break from perspective drawing to start the sculpture portion of the project. Every 5th grade class will get to this eventually. For Mrs. Wilson's class, we are focusing on the Iditarod and what it teaches us about who we are inside. Thinking about words like perseverance and determination, student's chose a pose that gives a visual depiction of these terms. The 5th graders started by constructing a foil skeleton, and will add plaster wrap to make it stiff. |

The 5th graders have been learning about perspective in art class. After some activities on the Smartboard, the 5th graders used their new knowledge to draw their own cities using one-point perspective. It was a lot of hard work, but once the hard part was over the students began to get very creative.
