This week all 5th graders had a chance to work on their graphic design initials, and their actual journal covers. It's hard having two things going on at once, especially when one requires no mess and the other is very messy! This week the 5th graders really began learning how graphic design is everywhere. We talked about how graphic designers need to consider many things, such as color and font, to make products look the best that they can. Some students then finished planning their cover page layouts, some started to actually make their journal covers, and some worked on the computers to digitally create their initials which will go on their journal covers. 5th graders began learning about graphic design this week, and how it is used every where! We will be focusing on what goes into "page layout" to create our own journals. Mrs. Flauter's class will be using these journals to keep their Revolutionary War simulation logs. |
